These pieces belong to an ongoing collection of objects, groupings and vessels which have been constructed from recycled, cleaned, and “re-formed” compostable coffee pods and filters. Their biodegradable forms were heat shrunk and coloured. Then encaustic wax medium and assorted bling like metal, glass, beads, and thread- were added to give them new life. Bowls were constructed with alternating layers of plain and painted filters and encaustic wax medium.
